THE BONELESS WONDER OF 1940 /^S % H. m mt / 4S3&J'iS7p& It's not a matter of bones when figures sag, but of muscles weakening. And to make the torso taut and supple again demands not boning, but something that will stretch and flex like muscles. . . . Which Is just what Sklntex Fabric Boning does! It Is muscular control—without bones. Paris discovered It. Soon London had It. Then New York. It rocked the whole fashion world! Control without bones! Into a powerful stretch-fabric, bands of delayed-stretch are woven. Firm as bones. Supple as muscles. It Is actually as though you were given a new set of muscles...of extraordinary resilience. You can have your Sklntex dull, gleaming or twinkling with stars; but don't be misled by those lovely looks. That silk yarn Is 300% stronger than In regular corset fabric. So powerful, large figures have Sklntex with practically no boning: for mediums, there are no bones about Sklntex at all. Whatever your size, see about your Berlel Sklntex today and discover good figures are made, not bornl WITH THE NEW FABRIC BONING

TAPAPA A very pleasant afternoon was spent on Saturday, April 13, when the Tapapa Institute held its monthly meeting. The president, Mrs Pevreal presided over a good attendance. A reading on “How to Cook for a husband” was real by miss Williamson. This was very good and caused much laughter. The roll call, “My wedding day,” was enjoyed by all, and brought forth many incidents of pioneering days. An observation test arranged by Mrs Harwood was very interesting. Competition results were as follows:—Best bloom, Mrs Henderson 1, Mrs Fuller 2; best home-made wedding gift, Mrs Fuller 1, Mrs Rutledge 2; best decorated cake, Mrs Rutledge 1, Mrs McHardy 2. A .new member, Mrs Williams, was accorded a hearty welcome.
