HAMILTON BRANCH

THE LEAGUE OF MOTHERS The monthly meeting of the Hamilton branch of the League of Mothers was held recently, Mrs Street presiding over a large attendance. An enjoyable musical programme had been arranged. Pianoforte items by Mrs Burnett were much enjoyed, and Miss Fear gave much pleasure with her contralto solos. The speaker for the afternoon was Miss Jean Campbell, of Canada, assistant National secretary of the Y.W.C.A. in New Zealand. Miss Campbell gave an interesting and amusing account of her experiences in New Zealand and in Canada, and in more serious vein she stressed the good that could be done by the women throughout the world, especially in this time of unrest. Mrs Street expressed the thanks of the members and presented beautiful bunches of flowers to the speaker and contributing artists.
