TE AROHA OPENING MIXED FOURSOME HANDICAP (Special to Times) TE AROHA .Monday The Te Aroha Goir Club held its opening day on Saturday when a large number or visitors and members were present. In declaring the links open, the president, Mr R. L. Somers, said it had been his privilege to do so for the last 31 years. At the conclusion of the day’s play, the club captain, Mr C. Wykes, called upon Mr Somers to present the trophies to Mr C. Parton and Mrs H. Carwardlne the winners or the arternoon’s mixed foursome handicap. The best cards returned were:—Parton and Mrs Carwardine, 325; Mr and Mrs W. Hunger, 35; Mr and Mrs R. A. Wilcox, 35; Foy and Mrs Barker, 36; Fryer and Miss Malngay, 36; Hume and Mrs Arthur, 365; Mr and Mrs McLeod, 37; Arthur and Mrs Hepburn, 38$.
