£7441 DEBIT BALANCE
WAIKATO COUNTY FUNDS LOAN ACCOUNT HEALTHY A debit balance of £7,441 2s lOd in the county fund was revealed in the financial statement presented at | the meeting of the Waikato County j Council today. The financial year commenced with a debit balance of ! £1282 16s 3d. j The amount expended from the ; county fund up to the end of March was £76,423 16s id, and £595 13s 6d had been expended since that date. Receipts in the account up to the end of the financial year were £70,729 12s sd, and since that date £BS 10s 8d had been received. Subsidies amounting to £SO 19s lid were due. 1 At the commencement of the financial year there was a credit balance of £3813 19s 9d in the roads and bridges loan account. Loan money raised amounted to £21,070. Subsidies and contributions from other local bodies during the year brought the total receipts in the account to £52,433 ss. Of this amount £37,634 19s 8d was expended up to the end of the financial year and £4572 4s lOd since that date, bringing the total expenditure to £42,207 4s 6d. There was thus a credit ; balance of £10,226 in the_account.
