Copyright) LONDON, April 6 The chairman of the Lancashire and Cheshire Conscientious Objectors* Tribunal, Mr Justice Burgis, was stabbed four times in the back while he was boarding a train at Manchester yesterday. He was taken to hospital with severe wounds. His condition is serious. A clerk. Henry Ballantine Best, aged 24, was charged with intent to murder the Judge. He said he did not intend to murder him. i Accused was remanded.
