PLUNKET MEETING

ANNUAL MEETING AT TIRAU There was a good attendance at the first annual meeting of the Tirau Plunket Society held in the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union Rooms. Mrs Brownlie presided. The annual report was presented by Mrs Hetherington, and Mrs Brownlie presented the balancesheet. A total of 270 visits to the rooms was reported, comprising 121

adults, 116 babies, 33 other children Nurse Gallagher, who has done good work in the district, stated that it was not generally known that children up to 8 years were eligible for treatment by the Plunket Society. A suggestion was made that the surplus money in hand be put aside for the building of a special‘Plunket room in the future. The following officers were elected; President, Mrs Brownlie; vicepresident. Mrs Cliff Allen: secretary, Mrs T. Bear; treasurer, Mrs J. Hetherington; auditor, Mr Little; committee, re-elected.
