Copyright) SYDNEY, April 7 The Quality Handicap at the Canterbury Park Racing Club’s meeting yesterday was notable for the defeat of John by the Vellmond colt Rlmveil. The Frederick Clissold Handicap was won by Gold Rod. Subsequently Mr E. J. Watt announced that Gold Rod would be retired to the stud.
