PRIME MINISTER’S COMMENT (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) WELLINGTON, Monday The Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, when approached regarding the Hon. W. E. Barnard’s resignation from the Labour Party, stated that he had not received the letter, and
expressed surprise that it had been handed to the press before it had time to reach him. He further asked: Does Mr Barnard state that he is prepared to pursue the rightful course, resign the Napier seat, and re-contest it against Labour?
