Copyright) (Received April 6, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, April 5 After seven Penlee lifeboatmen rescued him from the wrecked steamer Tay Craig, off Penzance in 1936, F. J. Gilbert made a vow that he would save seven lives. Gilbert, who is now a fireman, and living in Newhaven, has already saved four people from drowning. He last figured in a night drama in Newhaven Harbour. He dived into the water and rescued a sentry who had fallen in.
