NEW COMPANY

TRADE WITH BALKANS NEW AND BETTER BASIS GOVERNMENT FINANCE (United Press ABsn.—Elec. Tel. Copyrlgnt) LONDON, April 5 The new English Commercial Corporation, known as “Enco,” is the first important merchant company for which the Government has supplied the entire finance. The Daily Telegraph says the company’s work will not be entirely part of Britain’s economic war against Germany, but will be the beginning of a plan to re-establish trade with the Balkans on a new and better basis, that can be continued after the war. There is enthusiastic approval of the formation of the company, which will buy minerals, grains, oil and other raw materials from countries neighbouring Germany.
