“East Lynne” as a Film
“East Lynne,” the weepy old melodrama, is to be made into a film again. Barbara Stanwyck will be the heroine, and John Boles will be brought back in this picture after a long absence from the screen. Sonja Henie’s Romance New York has been speculating on the possibility of Sonja Henie, the ice star, and the millionaire sportsman Dan Topping getting married soon. “We’re very, very good friends. I like her a lot, but anyhow, I’m not iree to marry for a couple of months until my divorce from Arline Judge become, final,” said Mr Topping. Miss Henie said: “Oh dear, people are always getting me married.”
