DECREASE IN DEPOSITS DAIRY ADVANCES HIGHER (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The Reserve Bank return for the week ended Monday, March 4, was gazetted tonight. The statement is balanced at £41,914,142, or £1977,707 less than at the close of the previous week. The reserve of sterling exchange is £821,729 lower in value than the week before. The deposits of the trading banks have fallen by £2,449,754, a movement which may be occasioned in part by income tax payments, which became finally due on the date of the return. The ratio is 32.337 per cent, against 32.812 per cent the week before. Advances to the Primary Products Marketing Department are £6,364 higher than a week before. Those for other purposes have been reduced by £1,200,000.
