YVAIOURU TRAINING STORM AT HOPU HOPU CAMP Under active service conditions about 800 officers and men of the artillery units of the second echelon of the New Zealand Expeditionarv Force carried out successful advanced training at Waiouru camp last week. They returned to the Hopu Hopu camp at the week-end. The units in camp for the four days were the sth Field Regiment. New Zealand Artillery, and the 7th AntiTank Regiment. New Zealand Artillery. Upon their return to Hopu Hopu, however, they found conditions uncomfortable on Saturday when the storm developed. During the night the downpour and high wind made the night particularly unpleasant, and some of the men’s belonging, became very damp.
