WHATAWHATA FUNCTION

EUCHRE AND DANCE An enjoyable euchre and dance organised by the patriotic committee was held in the Whatawhata Hall recently. Music for dancing was supplied by Mr J. Battersby’s orchestra and extras were played by Miss M. Carlinson. Mr R. Wills was master of ceremonies. Novelty dances were won by Miss J. Harris and Mr H. Rowe, and Mrs and Mr W. Welch. The euchre winners were Mrs M. Egan, Mrs H. Wills, Mr E. Kiihfuss and Mr J. Kempthorne. Among those present were:—Mesdames C. Yeoman, G. Gould, F. Jones, A. Chris, R. Calder, E. Calder, E.
