BLENDING OF WOOLS

SUCCESS OF EXPERIMENTS

SERVICE CLOTH MANUFACTURE ECONOMY IN CROSSBREDS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Feb. 18 Recent experiments in the introduction of merino wools into service cloth have attracted much interest. The experiments, which concern the blending of merino and crossbred wool, are understood to have been fairly successful and production in bulk is being tried. One reason for the experiments is to economise in crossbreds. Another may come from the desire on the part of the Wool Control to release more crossbred for export. It is possible that the experiments will result in much more wool being available for the home trade.
