LITTLE CHANGE
VALUES FOR STOCK ■MARKET AT FRANKTON There was little alteration in values at the Frankton stock sale today, when average entries were on offer. The market for beef was perhaps not quite as bright as last week, but values on the whole were firm. However, in the cow and heifer beef section some sales were made on a slightly lower basis than last week. There was no noticeable difference for ox. Heavy prime steers today were traded from £ll 17s 6d to £l3 12s 6d, against £l2 os to £l3 15s last week, while heavy prime cows and *
heifers changed hands from £8 12s 6d to £9 18s, in comparison with £8 15s to £lO 10s. Fat sheep over the early sales were not so brisk of sale as last week, but values in most cases were firm. Prime wethers in the first two rows realised from 24s 6d to 26s 9d. Although the market opened quietly for fat pigs it improved after lunch, and values were on a par with last week.
