ANZAC DAY

AUSTRALIAN EX-SOLDIERS VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) MELBOURNE, Feb. 20 Mr L. A. Robb, president of the New South Wales branch of the Returned Soldiers’ League, will lead an Australian Returned Soldiers’ delegation to New Zealand for the Dominion’s Anzac Day celebration. The League’s Federal executive council decided last night to be represented at the celebrations. Selection of the personnel was left to the Federal president (Sir Gilbert Dyett). Sir Gilbert said today that the names of the delegates were not yet available, but it was certain that Mr Robb would be his deputy on the visit.

Mr Robb is a New Zealander, who fought with the A.I.F. in the last war and was instrumental in bringing to Sydney a New Zealand delegation for the 1938 celebrations.

It is likely that many Australians will make the proposed visit to New Zealand, for, in addition to the Anzac Day celebrations it will afford an opportunity to view the Centennial Exhibition.

Therefore, provision may yet be made for an unofficial delegation, as well as an official one.
