WAIKATO RACING CLUB BRILLIANTLY FINE WEATHER Brilliant sunshine and an almost cloudless sky made the second day of the Waikato Racing Club's summer meeting perfect racing weather and contributed greatly to the enjoyment of the large number of patrons present. There was almost an autumnal suggestion about the borders in which the flowers ranged j from palest gold to the deepest crim- | son. ; A distinctive feature of the dressj ing was the prevalence of brighter j colours than have been seen for some | time. While many women were faithful to black or navy-blue, many more realised the attractive possibilities .of the charming summer shades. Some cf the most popular tones favoured by older women were the warm clover shades and the deep vintage colours.
