ASSAULT ON INVALID
CHRISTCHURCH, Monday
“You have committed a dreadful offence under dreadful circumstances,” said Mr Justice Northcroft in the Supreme Court, when sentencing Frederick Charles Rhode Clark to five years’ imprisonment with hard labour for rape. His Honour remarked that the victim was an invalid, incapable of defending herself or even of calling for help.
