BIG INCREASE IN JANUARY IMPORTS AND EXPORTS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Feb. 19, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 18 Following an expansion of British trade in December, imports and exports in January again rose. Imports increased by nearly £31,000,000 compared with January of last year. Details are:—lmports, £104,961,147, an increase of £29,389,330; exports, £410,735,574, an increase of £15,939,976.

Imports of manufactured oils, fats and resins totalled £8,600,369, an increase of £4,811,869.
