BOWLS ASSOCIATION DATE OF TOURNAMENT In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet at the ninth annual meeting of the South Auckland Public Service Bowling Association, held in Hamilton, the president, Mr W. A. Curteis, referred to the innovation of holding the annual tournament on a green outside Hamilton. This had proved an outstanding success, a record entry of 24 teams taking part. Appreciation of the services of Mr H. Morris, the retiring secretary, was expressed by the meeting. It was decided to hold the next annual tournament on the greens of the Whitiora Bowling Club on February 17.

Officers elected were:—President. Mr W. Chegwidden (State Fire Office); vice-president. Mr B. S. Marshall (Public Works Department); secretary and treasurer, Mr A. P. Nelson (Education Department); executive committee, Messrs Hebditch (N.Z.R.), C. W. Lopdell (Police Department), V. R. Crowhurst( Justice Department), T. M. Lendrum (P. and T. Department), F. J. E. Moore (Public Trust), W. A. Curteis (Education Department), and King (Public Works Department).
