VERDICT IN RE-TRIAL (By Telegrarti.—Pr.??s Association) TIMARU, Wednesday A verdict of guilty was brought in after a retirement of two and aquarter hours at the re-trial in the Supreme Court to-day of Lawrence William Cantwell, aged 21. a tractor driver, of Albury. who pleaded not guilty to a charge of negligently driving a motor-car on the TimaruPleasant Point highway on December 2, 1939. thereby causing the death of Helen Eva McAuliffe. Cantwell was remanded for sentence to-morrow.
