Copyright) (Received Feb. 8, 10.30 a.m.) PERTH, Feb. 8 The Inter-Dominion Trotting championships commenced at Gloucester Park, Perth, last night, when the mile qualifying events were decided. The results are as follows: — First Division (of £375; 1 mile). Main Derby, 12yds, 1; Ruling Globe, iimit, 2; Logan Derby, 36yds, 3. Ten started, including Icevus (New Zealand), who was a close fourth. Won by a foot; three yards. Time, 2.72* Logan Derby lowered the State record for a mile by 2s, five contestants beating the previous record. Second Division (of £375; 1 mile): Globe Dorrell, limit, 1; Radiant Walla, limit, 2; Evicus, 12yds, 3. Ten started. Won by a yard; two yards. Time, 2.11. The favourite, Grand Mogul (New Zealand), broke up when coming to the last lap as he was just beginning his run. Third Division (of £375; 1 mile): Uenuku (N.Z.), limit, 1; Moreica, limit, 2; Our Globe, 12yds, 3. Ten started. Won, hard held, by five yards, nine yards. Time, 2.8. Supertax (New Zealand) was close up fifth. Supertax won the stake for the horse registering the fastest time.
