HAMILTON TEAM LOSES DEFEATED BY PUKEKOHE (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Monday When the Country Week cricket tournament for the Hellaby Shield opened at Auckland to-day in fine weather, the Hamilton team was defeated on the first innings by Pukekohe. Steady batting by the visitors in the second strike prevented their opponents securing an outright victory. Three-point decisions were also secured by Waipa, Thames and Auckland. Details:— Hamilton v. Pukekohe Hamilton, first innings 82 (K. Conder 25, B. Choat 24; Vosalangi four for 23, Johnson four for 34); second innings 80 for seven wickets (Johnson four for 26).
