Conyrlrht) LONDON, Dec. 24 In a raid on the Eire Army’s magazine in Phoenix Park, Dublin, last night, members of the Irish Republican Army secured a large quantity of arms, ammunition and equipment. The raiders overpowered a guard and filled up some lorries, ot which there is no trace. It is officially stated that a man in military uniform approached the main gates of the fort and handed in a parcel addressed to the commander. The gate having been opened, armed men overpowered the sentry and held up the guard. Shots were fired at a military policeman in the park near by, causing soldiers to be rushed there.

Four men carrying revolvers were arrested. It is estimated that between 50 and 100 men took part in the raid.
