SOCIAL AT CAMBRIDGE

ST. JOHN AMBULANCE The Cambridge branch of the St. John Ambulance Association held a social evening in the Oddfellows’ Hall recently, when members of the brigade were presented with certificates won during the year. Lilies and roses decorated the hall where a good attendance enjoyed the programme. Items were given by Misses Mona Ross, June Maisey, Joan Blackman and Mr G. A. James, who sang vocal solos. Miss Grace Cameron-Johnson played a violin solo. Misses Gwenda Nickle, Rita Price and Mrs Blackman were the accompanists. A feature of the supper arrangements was a large iced Christmas cake made by Mrs White and presented by Mr R. S. Entwisle. Among those present were:—-Mes-dames W. White, H. L. Nixon, W. Munroe, G. G. L. Taylor, Sorenson, T. F. Richards, J. W. Ross, Petherbridge, M. Caley, F. Coulter, H. E. Amyes, A. H. Clayton, W. A. Fisher, A. P. Robinson, H. Webb, Young, W. Barton, H. C. Tod, J. Blackman, E. Dallinger, H. Betts, E. H. Leigh, Morris, George.
