ORINI SOLDIERS
FAREWELL GATHERING (Special to Times) TAUPIRI, Friday. Two men from the Orini district who are members of the first echelon of the Special Force, Privates D. Crockett and J. Magan, were honoured at a farewell gathering held in the Orini Hall. Mr A. Howell, who presided, expressed the hope that the conflict would he short and that in the near future they could gather again to welcome their soldiers home. Presentations were made by Dr. W. H. Pettit, of Auckland, and a programme of items was given.
