AMATEUR ATHLETICS

THE HAMILTON CLUB ] OPEN MEETING HANDICAPS ] SPECTACULAR PARADE The annual open meeting of the Hamilton Amateur Athletic Club, to be held at Hinemoa Park on Saturday, has drawn an excellent field of * competitors and racing of a high standard should be witnessed. As the nearest open meeting prior to the big holiday fixtures, many athletes , from a wide area, are taking advan- , tage of Hamilton’s comprehensive programme to gain the required race practice to complete training. The programme is a large one but i has been so arranged that there will , not be a dull moment, and with the track in excellent order thrilling racing should be seen. One of the features of the meeting will be the parade and march past \ of contestants in the inter-house I games in their snappy uniforms, j while all competitors will also take i place in the parade.
