CALL UPON THE GOVERNMENT APPEAL BY THE CHURCHES NEW NATIONAL ORDER (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Nov. 4 A meeting of the laity representall the Christian churches passed a resolution calling upon the Government to state its peace terms and declaring that the war should be ended as speedily as possible, compatible with honour. The resolution also urged a statement of Britain’s contribution, after consultation with France, toward a new national justice and security and that this declaration should be sent to all Governments. The meeting decided to send a message to German Christian leaders urging them to press for a conference with Germany. The resolution is to be despatched to the members of the Cabinet, the heads of the Churches, President Roosevelt and King Leopold of the Belgians.
