TWO INJURED MEN EXPOSED FOR 19 HOURS (Special to Times) (jioboiaN E, Sunday Mr Edward William Beil, a driver, aged 55, married, of Te Karaka, and Mr 'lhcmas Melville, aged 40, single, of Te Karaka, were*seriously injured when their car failed to negotiate a bena on a road near Te Karaica oil x iiday evening, and were not discovered until 19 hours later by a party of Maoris, during which time they lay on the roadside exposed to severe weather. Mr Bell’s condition is described as cry grave but Mr Melville’s injuries are not serious. The car rolled down a steep bank, the occupants being thrown clear a chain from the road. The greasy state of the highway hindered the rescuers, but the men reached the Cook Hospital, Gisborne, 24 hours after the accident. I=- - =
