TE RORE NOTES
SOCIAL CLUB DANCE White snowballs and greenery were used to decorate the Te Rore Hall recently, when a most enjoyable dance was held. Music was supplied by Mac Merrymakers’ Orchestra, an extra being played by Miss S. Bell. Mr H. Allcock carried out the duties of master of ceremonies, and a novelty dance was won by Mr D. Lorrimor and partner. A Swiss supper was served throughout the evening. Among those present were:—Mesdames L. Follett (Te Pahu), blue taffeta; R. Martin (Auckland), black slipper satin; G. OFFICIAL OPENING CROQUET CLUB The Te Rore Croquet Club held its official opening of the season recently, the weather being perfect. Visitors were present from all the surrounding clubs. The president, Mrs J. G. Butterworth, sen., and the secretary, Mrs Barry, received the guests. Afternoon tea was served by the club members, the tables being charmingly decorated with Iceland poppies. Winners of the competitions were: Mrs C. K. Edwards, Mrs J.
