Colonel N. W. McD. Weir, Officer Commanding the Northern Military District, visited Hamilton last night for the presentation of trophies won by members of the Second Medium Battery, Hamilton.

Dr. F. F. Sitherstein, formerly Professor of Pathology at the University of Vienna, has been recommended by the executive of the Auckland Division of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society, for the position of statistical research officer at Auckland. The appointment will, in the first instance, be for one year.
