DR. HOCKIN MEMORIAL

TE KUITI HOSPITAL NEW WIRELESS SYSTEM (Special to Times) TE KUITI, Thursday The Te Kuiti Hospital wireless was officially switched on yesterday afternoon as*a memorial to the late Dr. M. M. Hockin, Medical Superintendent of the Waikato Hospital, about 80 attending the ceremony. The speakers were the chairman of the Hospital Board, Mr F. Findlay; Dr. L. R. de Castro, chairman of the wireless committee; the Mayor, Mr H. T. Morton, arfd Mr W. J. Broadfoot, M.P. Mrs’ Broadfoot turned the switch. Sister Bloxsome, matron of the hospital, was the recipient of a bouquet. Congratulations were extended to Sister Bloxsome, the staff and Dr. de Castro for their work in organising the collection of the funds. Messrs T. G. Reynolds and A. C. Burgess (secretary) also represented the Waikato Hospital Board.
