HAMILTON CARRIERS

SUCCESSFUL YEAR ELECTION OF OFFICERS A successful year’s operations was reviewed in the report of the Hamilton District Carriers’ Association, held last night. There was a large attendance, Mr J. Jebson presiding. The membership was 53 and the balance sheet disclosed a small credit balance. The following officers were eleected: President, Mr Claude Kendall; vice-president, Mr J. Hartstone; executive, Messrs E. Woodward, J. Jebson and F. Ladd; secretary, Mr E. R. Marsh; auditor, Mr E. R. Davey. A deputation of town carriers, composed of Messrs H. R. Bishop, T. Brant and L. Hopkinson, waited on the meeting and explained that they had now to take out licenses under the Transport Licensing Act. The meeting promised the town carriers every assistance.
