SIR ROBERT BROOKE-POPHAM TAKING UP AIR DUTIES (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Sept. 24 With the approval of the King, Air Chief Marshal Sir Robert BrookePopham relinquishes his appointment, held since 1937, as Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Kenya, in orer to take up duty with the Royal Air Force. Sir Robert was an air officer commanding Irak Command, 1928-30; air officer Commanding-in-Chief, air defence of Great Britain, 1933-35; and Inspector-General, Royal Air Force, 1935-36.
