COMING TO NEW ZEALAND EX-IIAMILTONI.YN'’S PLANS Walter Gray, formerly manager of the Regent Theatre in Hamilton, has resigned the management of Wellington's St. James' Theatre. His purpose in visiting Australia is to bring back a strong Ilcsh-and-blood company to present a scries of 11 straight ’ comedies through New Zealand. Mr Gray said that he thought this was a most opportune moment to bring a good company to the Dominion. "The people will he wanting to laugh their troubles away,” he said, "and that's my reason for selecting as three of |lie shows, "Charley's Aunt,’ ‘Gelling Gertie's Garter,' and ‘ Up in Mabel's Room.' Don Nicol to Lead “ I already have Don Niro], the well-known young comedian who was here in ' White Horse Inn’ and ' balalaika,’ under contract, and it is possible that wo will also sign up a young aclress who has had experience both here and in Hollywood. Rut I can t disclose her name yet.”
