Mr E. W. G. Thorpe, of Hamilton, left for Wellington last night. Mr J. P. Kallagher, secretary to the New Zealand Friesian Breeders Association, was in Hamilton today. Mr A. St. C. Belcher, of Hamilton, left for Wellington last evening to attend a meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union Council. The Rev. D. J. A. Shaw, a former minister at Te Awamutu and later at Hastings, was inducted into the Presbyterian charge of Papakura on Wednesday. Messrs J. W. 'McAulay and F. K. Thomas were re-elected to the directorate of the Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Company at the annual meeting today. Mr O. V. Latimore, postmaster at Otorohanga, has received notice of transfer to Pipatoetoe. He will be succeeded at Otorohanga by Mr C. M. White, of Raetihi. Dr. W. T. MeFalyc.'i, formerly of Wellington, who for fie past three years has been a refinery chemist for Trinidad Leaseholds, Limited She largest producers of oil in the British Empire, is on an extended holiday visit to New Zealand. After receiving degrees at Otago University and Victoria University College, Dr. McFadyen obtained a doctorate in philosophy at Leeds University.
