WAITOA FUNCTION

CARDS AND DANCE The Waitoa Hall was well filled recently, the occasion being a modern and old-time dance which had been ouganised by the hall committee. Half of the proceeds were donated to the Waikato Sunshine League. Many visitors from the surrounding districts attended and a happy time was spent. Music for dancing was provided by Mrs W. Glover. 11. Holland, and W. Gibbons, extras being played by Misses J. Luxton and B. Vercoe. A novelty dance was won by Mr W. Hill and partner. Mr A. H. Holland was master of ceremonies. The winners of the card tournament held in conjunction with the dance were Mrs 11. Hall and Mr A. North. Mr A. J. Graham was in charge of the card room.
