EVENING OF PLAYS

LARGE AUDIENCE ENTERTAINED There was a large audience at the Winter Show Hall last night, when three plays were presented by the Hamilton Playbox on behalf of the fund to send the winning team (“Two Gentlemen of Soho") at the recent drama festival in Hamilton to compete in the semi-finals of the British Drama League at Palmerston North. Thomas—Gretchen, Wilma Thomas; Tante, Mrs W. King; Little Mutter, Mrs M. Thomas; Carl, John Valentine; Crossmutter, Gladys Barlow; Rudolf, Jack Warrington; Caspar, Malcolm Burdis; Hans, Albert Cope. “Two Gentlemen of Soho,” producer Mr David Reid—Topsy, Joy Duncan; Plum, David Reid; Lady Lae Lilia, Mae Walker; Lord Withers, Dean T.
