Tel O't’ertrfH t (Received Sept. 21, 12.45 p.m.) PARIS, Sept. 20 Although the west front was all quiet for the greater part of the day heavy artillery tire was opened up al various points, particularly on the Saarbrucken sector, and there is every indication that the Germans are preparing to take the offensive as they are probing French strength along 25 miles of the front east of Saarbrucken. German troops are still moving to the west from Poland. ' French troops released from the Italian frontier also moved up to the western front. The morale of the French troops Is exceedingly high. The losses have been light, the efficiency of the tanks and other mechanised equipment has proved excellent.
