BASKETBALL CONTESTS PROGRESS RESULTS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Friday The New Zealand basketball tournament was continued this morning in perfect weather. Results:— First Grade: Auckland 17, Hawke’s Bay 14; Southland 16, Canterbury 10; Wellington 19, Otago 13. Second Grade: Waikato 13, Ashburton 12, Southland Minor 15, Wairarapa 11: South 'Canterbury 12, Mauawatu 10. Third Grade: West Coast 15, Temuka, 8; Hokitika 19, ulago Minor 11.
