Gla ding, the young Hamilton amateur and the holder of the title, entered the semi-finals of the Rotorua Golf Club's championship this year when he beat E. S. Toogood in‘the quarter-finals to-day. The weather was again good and the course in excellent order. Following were the results of this morning's play:— R. 11. Glading beat E. S. Toogood, 5 and 4. M. Carr beat p. Ralph, 4 and 3. C. H. Wells beat s. p. Longuet, 4 and 3 J. E. Stedman beat R. Craig, 2 and 1.
