SUGGESTION FOR MEMORIAL SCHOOL CHILDREN'S BOOKLET BIG TREE-PLANTING SCHEME Plans for the celebration of the I Centennial in Hamilton were discussed yesterday afternoon when a meeting of the Hamilton Centennial ; Committee was held in the municipal j chambers. The chief matters under ! consideration were the erection of a town clock tower as a Centennial memorial, the publication of a booklet ; for distribution among the school children and the tree-planting scheme in which about 5000 school children ! will take part. The meeting was presided over by 1 the Mayor, Mr H. D. Caro, who is the 1 chairman of the committee, and also present were the Ilev. 11. G. Gilbert, Messrs W. H. Paul, T. G. Reynolds, •H. M. Hammond, A. E. Gibbons, H. Lane, C. G. Hunt, W. Sullivan, E. 11. Grocott, W. L. Waddel (town clerk) and R. Worley (borough engineer).
