3000 MILES BY TAXI HAMILTONIANS BACK IN LONDON (Times Air Mail Service.) LONDON, August 1 After a three weeks’ tour round Britain in a London taxi, Mrs Jolly, of Hamilton, and her two daughters have returned to London. The taxi-driver, Mr George Owen, found another fare ready for the tfOOO-mile lour when he reached home, but lie declined the offer. “I think 1 have had enough, for the time being at any rate.” he said. The route included Land's End, Wales. Scotland and John o’Uroats. ]! was Ihf second time Mr Owen had taken a New Zealand family on the trip. •T was fed up with the weather after the First two weeks," he said. ••We had everything but snow. Fortunately it did not seem !e affect the enjoyment of the passengers. The taxi behaved as if it were on a town trip. 1 did not even have a punc- , Lure.’’
