SHARE MILKERS MEET CENTENNIAL ARRANGEMENTS (Special to Times) MORRINSVILLE, Saturday Mr M. Bon, convener of a meeting of Morrinsville district sharemilkcrs, presided over a gathering of 50 members. The principle of the guaranteed price was discussed and a resolution passed asking that the guaranteed price be continued. The resolution is to be forwarded to the Prime Minister. The fact that a great many sharemilkers had not yet joined tlie union and that those outside the union were getting the benefit of the standard agreement resulted in a resolution asking that all sharemilkcrs be compelled to join the union. Centennial Celebrations The Mayor, Mr W. Hetherington, presided at a meeting of the Morrinsville Centennial Committee in the Council Chambers. The secretary reported that the amount of £3ll had been collected to date. The Agricultural and Pastoral Show Association reported that the following programme had been arranged for the 2 Ist annual show, to be held on March 5 and 6, 1010—March 5, the usual stock show with special features lo celebrate the 21st anniversary; March 6 to be taken up with pony races and children’s sports. The Morrinsville Beautifying Society is to be asked to bring forward a plan for the laying out of the riverbank walk. Physical Culture Club The gymnasium was well filled with patrons on Wednesday night when a team of boxers and wrestlers from Cambridge paid the Morrinsville Physical Culture Club a visit. Mr J. R. Kelly, president, welcomed the visitors. Some keen and interesting bouts were witnessed. Of special interest was a boxing bout between D. J. Craig (lOst 51b;, South Auckland welterweight champion and holder of the McGill Cup and W. Thompson 10st 21b..

Gordon Spice (12st 61b). Women’s Golf The fifth round of the Goosman trophy competition will be played next Wednesday. August 23. by the Morrinsville Ladies’ Golf Club. C. grade players will play the first half of a special nine-holes competition.
