MATAMATA SALE The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their usual Matamata stock sale on Wednesday, when a good penning of cow and heifer beef, together with a small entry of boner cows came forward. Bidding throughout was keen, realisations remaining firm on late rates. A good offering of yearling Jersey heifers sold under spirited competition at satisfactory prices. Dairy cattle: A medium yarding of rows and heifers. A slightly better inquiry was noticeable for rows close to profTt, and generally prices remained firm at late rates. Pigs r An average yarding of fat pigs, and a capacity entry of stores was offered. Heavy baconers remained firm at late values, and store pigs created keen interest from a large bench of buyers. Included in the offering was a line of well-bred Polled Angus steers on account of Mr W. J. Lusty, The cattie were yarded in good condition and met with keen competition Odd beef cows and heifers sold at late ratps. whilst boner cows showed no alteration on schedule values. A few dairy cows sold readily.
