FRANCE PREPARING HERR HITLER’S INGENUITY (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, June 30 France is looking to her defences as the result of the reports of the calling-up of German reservists and also because Italian troop trains ar3 moving through the Brenner Pass, says the Paris correspondent of the British Associated Press. Marshal Gamelin -Is inspecting the fortifications on the Italian frontier, and General Vuillemin, Chief of the Air Staff, is inspecting the Corsican air bases. The Paris newspaper Le Journal declares: “Our predicament is enough to make the 1,500,000 French war dead rise from their graves.” A high German Government official, however, told the Berlin correspondent of the British United Press: “We will not go to war against half the world for Danzig, which is already completely Nazi. Herr Hitler will again show his ingenuity by solving this problem without war.” French Government circles have been informed that Germany has called GO.OOO reservists to the colours to strengthen the Army by replacing those filtering into Danzig. More Reserves Catted Up Evidence that Germany is calling up further reservists early coincides with the increased pressure on Danzig, says the Paris correspondent of the British United Press. The German frontier control has already been tripled. Six regiments of infantry arrived at Karlsruhe, on the Rhine, last night, and 30.000 troops from Essen were installed in the Saar frontier posts. Thirty thousand motorised troops have reached the Rhineland in the past two days, and observers report considerable troop movements near Kehl. Alstadt, Salzbach, Trier and the Eifel district, all on the western frontier. The Danzig delegates to the conference of the International Chambers of 'Commerce at Copenhagen have been recalled by air.
