COMPETITION RESUMED
ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL ROVERS TO MEET QLEN AFTON ATTRACTION AT SEDDOX PARK After a lapse of a couple of weeks owing To the Chatham Cup elimination games, the South Auckland Football Association’s senior championship will be continued tomorrow when games will be played at Hamilton and Iluntlv. An interesting stage has been reached in the competition, and, with the grounds in good order, bright fare may be witnessed by followers of the code. Lower grade games will also be played. The main attraction at Seddon Park will be the meeting of Claudelands Rovers and Glen_vAfton, who are only one point apart on the championship table. When the two teams met at Huntly earlier in the season Rovers had a hard light before gaining the decision by a one-goal margin, and a keenly-contested match may be expected tomorrow. The last time Rovers took the Held was against Huntly in a Chatham Cup match, but the team might have benefited by the rest it has had in the interim. However, Glen Afton is a force to be reckoned with, as may be judged from the fact that it Is the only team which has gained a victory over the strong Rotowaro combination. Hamilton Wanderers’ eleven will travel tomorrow when it will meet Huntly Starr on the latter team’s ground. Wanderers showed a surprising return to form last week by gaining a win over Rotowaro after being two goals down at half-time, and tomorrow’s game should create a good deal of interest.
