ORINI NEWS
SUBDIVISION OF LAND Surveyors are busy at present putting a road into the property of the South Auckland Flax Company. Hall this block of 1750 acres was planted in flax some years ago but fire destroyed the bulk of it. The company went into liquidation and now the place is being sold in sections suitable for small farms. Eventually it should become one of the most productive parts of Orini as it has been well drained and needs only consolidation. Already three or four sections have been sold and when the block is roaded no doubt it will be soon taken up. The Orini Downs Estate of 1800 acres is to be subdivided into small farms. A road about li miles long is to be made enabling about eight or ten sections to have a frontage and easy access to the urini-Morrinsville road. This land is in good heart and subdivided into 65 paddocks, well drained and watered, and there is no doubt there will be keen competition for sections when it is placed on the market.
