WINTER SHOW OPENS
TE KUITI FIXTURE GOOD ENTRIES IN ALL SECTIONS (Special to Times.) TE KUITI, Thursday The spacious building of the Te Kuiti and District Winter Show Association was the scene of unprecedented activity this morning when the 11th annual show commenced. Displaying a variety of attractions for the farming community of the Northern King Country, the show promised to he one of the best yet held by the association, and judging hy the large number of entries received in the various sections many records were to be eclipsed. A feature of the exhibition was the musical elocutionary and dancing competitions for which exceptionally good entries were received. The display by the Auckland School of Arts and the comprehensive outlay of Maori arts and crafts evinced considerable interest. In the home industries section and the school children's classes fine entries were received and the displays were of a particularly high standard. The Women's Institute courts revealed definite talent. Held in conjunction with the show, the Te Kuiti Poultry and Cage Bird Club's annual exhibition was well supported. The winter show will be continued this evening, to-morrow and Saturday.
